Beck Depression Scale is a common diagnostic tool for professionals in mental health. They use a scale or inventory to help diagnose people and can be used in a wide range of settings. To those who question whether or not they are depressed, Beck Depression Inventory to help them learn more.

It can be applied to anyone, if at least the fifth or sixth grade reading skills. Generally, those who are 13 or older will be able to take inventory. The table has been updated with more time since its creation in the 1960s.

The BDI, a measure is known, contains 21 entries throughout the report. Questions measuring different manifestations of depression, including issues such as social isolation, sadness, pessimism, guilt and the prosecution, including symptoms. The test takes about ten minutes to complete for most people and can provide information on the presence and severity of these diseases.
